Oïkos Logos
From the Greek root Oïkos (house) and Logos (science, knowledge), the exhibition is articulated around the question of ecology and offers a reflection on the relationships between humans, their activities and their environment. In the Cité Radieuse, the artist warns of the drift of humanity playing with fire.
Oïkos Logos was the solo exhibition by ZEVS in 2021. The solo show took place at Marseille Modulor MAMO - Centre d'art de la Cité Radieuse, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Marseille in France, which was one of the architectural work by the Swiss/French architect Le Corbusier. He is the father of the Modulor, a stylized human silhouette intended to serve as a standard of measurement in all parts of a building. With his love for the greek space and numerous use of features from ancient Greek building design that inspired the architect, the connection between the exhibition by ZEVS and the construction of the building was the perfect match.
